Mutya Keisha Siobhan (MKS) have returned to the recording studio today (February 24) with Dev Hynes, the producer of their comeback single Flatline.
London’s Red Bull Studios tweeted earlier: “The lovely @mutyakeishasiobhan ladies have been in #studiob with @devhynes today!” The recording studio also posted the picture that appears to the right.
MKS – the reunited original Sugababes – are set to perform at this week’s NME Awards, which take place at London’s Brixton Academy on Wednesday (February 26). They will be joining electro group Metronomy on stage for a performance of the latter’s single Love Letters.
Earlier this month (February) Mutya Keisha Siobhan insisted their album is still on its way – even though they have yet to announce a follow-up to Flatline, which came out last September (2013).
The reunited Sugababes have also been forced to deny rumours they had been dropped from their label Polydor, after Flatline charted at a disappointing number 50.
In an interview with NME in December, the trio insisted they were happy with that chart position, saying: “If we’d done more TV and there had been more promotion around then, we definitely would have had a bigger single. But it did what we wanted it to do.”
