How vaping has helped to break down social barriers

Chances are there is someone in your circle of friends, family or co-workers who is a smoker. Who knows, perhaps that someone is even you. Smoking e-cigarettes, or vaping, has become increasingly popular in the last few years that even cigarette enthusiasts are starting to take note, as an incredible variety of vaping kits have hit the market.
What is often regarded as a dirty habit and anti-social, cigarette smoking can be uncomfortable for both smokers and non-smokers alike. Non-smokers don’t like the offensive odour and the harmful properties attributed to the second-hand smoke, and smokers don’t appreciate being banished from a room when they feel a craving coming on.
If you’re a smoker who’s aware enough to have picked up on this divide, then it is difficult not to see how vaping is the noticeably better option of the two. With vaping, you are still getting that dose of nicotine you need to satisfy a craving while enjoying a healthier lifestyle alternative to cigarettes.
How Vaping Works
With an e-cigarette, the nicotine fix is provided via inhaled, atomised, nicotine-infused water vapor instead of smoke. Knowing that you can walk freely down the street without being criticised for the ‘smoke’ that you are blowing (which isn’t even smoke by the way – it’s water vapour) makes them an easy sell. The vapour isn’t going to cause any health concerns to passer-by’s and you don’t even have to go outside in the cold and rain, which is a great feeling.
Vaping can be done whenever you want and almost everywhere you want. It’s easy to use e-cigarettes too since all that is needed is a simple push of a button. You have total control over your inhaling habits and how much nicotine you want, plus a pleasant tasting vapour for an even more enjoyable experience.
Breathing Easy Again
As the lesser of two evils, e-cigarettes are clearly the better choice and even the NHS has caught onto this, expressing their support as a safer alternative to smoking, so it’s great in particular if you’re looking to transition away from smoking cigarettes all together. Plus, you don’t have to stop what you are doing to enjoy an e-cigarette. You can continue doing whatever it is that you’re doing while puffing away, which means keeping the conversation going with friends or even mowing the lawn. No harm and certainly no foul. Plus, with so many e-liquid flavours to choose from you can really vary your cravings depending on what your taste buds are wanting.
Perhaps cigarette smoking will one day be a thing of the past, who knows. Just remember, even though vaping poses less health threats to traditional cigarette smoking, it still includes nicotine as its main ingredient. Vaping is considered safe in most places, but the law can always change so it’s worthwhile to inquire first before engaging in a few puffs.
