US pastor says marriage shouldn’t be changed for gays ‘who don’t deserve to live’

An anti-gay US pastor has argued that the definition of marriage shouldn’t be changed for gay people.

Robert Lee, a pastor at The Ten Commandments Church in Milledgeville, caused controversy when he placed a sign outside the church that claimed that “homosexuality is a death worthy of a crime”.

“This is the first time that I have ever seen anything that actually crossed the line and was inferring death upon a group,” a passerby who saw the sign told WGXA.

Following a wave of backlash, Lee has defended the sign by claiming that it shouldn’t matter because gay people “don’t deserve to live”.

“Homosexuality is an abomination, and the Bible says that homosexuality is a death worthy crime,” Lee said.

He added: “The institution of marriage was instituted by God and it should not be changed by people who deserve not to live.”
