Paramedic proposes to nurse with engagement ring taped to his arm before Covid vaccination

A paramedic has warmed hearts worldwide after proposing to his nurse boyfriend of five years, moments before a Covid-19 vaccination in Canton, South Dakota.
Think about it: who would have seen that coming?!
The magic moment was captured on camera and uploaded to the Sanford Health hospital Facebook page last week.
“‘Absolutely, of course, yes'”
In the clip emergency medical services supervisor Robbie Vargas-Cortes rolls up his sleeve for vaccine administrator Eric Vanderlee – only to reveal a ring taped to the top of his arm.
Speaking to CNN about the proposal, Vanderlee said: “It just kind of dawned on me and I was like, ‘absolutely, of course, yes.’ It was just an amazing moment after I figured it out.”
According to the publication, Vargas-Cortes was out the door responding to an ambulance call within 10 minutes of the engagement.
“South Dakota is a very conservative state,” Vargas-Cortes added. “We wouldn’t have had the right to marry without the Supreme Court in 2015. So to see such an outpouring of support, especially from our fellow South Dakotans, has been uplifting.

“It gives me a new confidence to be okay with who we are. I always say I’m too scared to hold his hand in public, and now that this has happened, that seems kind of silly.”
