Israeli gay club under fire after using ISIS-themed images

A gay club promoter in Israel is under fire after using ISIS-themed images to promote its events.
Drek, who organise gay events in Tel Aviv, clearly referenced the recent beheadings of US and British journalists in homoerotic promotional pictures for their club night Drekistan at the Haoman.
Followers of the company branded the decision to reference the acts being committed by the extremist group as “disgusting”, The Guardian reports.
One image shows a male model draped in orange fabric, kneeling beside a model in black. Another shows the same model holding a black flag similar to the one used by ISIS.
Drek founder, Amiri Kalman, responded to the controversy by releasing the following statement: “We are trying to react to current events. We have been doing it for a number of years. But we reject violence in any form and that includes the videos intended to scare the world.
“Therefore we also refuse to participate with this fear and refuse to become hysterical. This is satire, and our way of showing our contempt of them and their videos.”
He also stated that the club night itself did not have an ISIS theme.
