Britney Spears checks into a mental health facility after father’s health worsens
The singer's dad suffered a colon rupture back in January and was forced to have a life-saving operation

Britney Spears has checked herself into a mental health facility after suffering from severe emotional distress following her father’s worsening health.
Last month, Jamie Spears’ colon ruptured which required a lifesaving operation but since then he has failed to return to full health.
Britney was forced to put her Las Vegas residency on hold to go and care for her father.
And now TMZ report that Britney had been struggling with the mental strain and will spend 30 days at the unspecified health facility.
On Instagram, Britney posted an image with the message: “Fall in love with taking care of yourself, mind, body and spirit.”
She captioned the image: “We all need to take time for a little ‘me time’.”
A source told PEOPLE Magazine: “Her dad being sick has taken a toll on her. He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He’s not doing well.
“They’re so close and it has been a lot. There is nothing dramatic going on with her – she just realised she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself.”
Another source told US Magazine: “Britney was distraught when her dad first got sick.
“Then there was a period where she was handling it better and feeling more positive because Jamie seemed to be improving, but then his condition worsened, and she couldn’t emotionally handle the thought of potentially losing him. It was her breaking point.”
