Afghan teen asylum seeker rejected in Austria as aggression isn’t expected of homosexuals
The teenager reportedly was also rejected because he had few friends and spent time alone

An Afghan teenager asylum seeker has been rejected by Austrian official because aggression isn’t “expected from a homosexual”.
According to the Falter Newspaper, the official found no grounds for fear of persecution for the 18 year old but the assessment reportedly said that because the teenager fought with others he had the potential for aggression and said this “wouldn’t be expected from a homosexual”.
It also said: “The way you walk, act or dress does not show even in the slightest that you could be homosexual.”
Another reason that the Austrian official allegedly rejected the asylum seeker was because he only had a few friends and spent time alone, which the assessment noted “aren’t homosexuals rather social?”
The teenager also noted he kissed straight men which the report says they would have beaten him therefore rejected his plea for asylum.
Homosexuality is still illegal in Afghanistan and can be punishable by death.
