Attitude is delighted to announce that pop royalty Steps are to headline the 2021 Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, with comedian Tom Allen reprising his role as host having steered last year’s virtual event to online success.

Returning to London’s iconic Camden Roundhouse and now in its tenth year, the Attitude Awards will be the UK LGBTQ community’s 2021 calendar highlight – and after 650 guests have enjoyed funnyman Tom Allen, dinner, 13 awards and four live performances, a five-track Steps set will close the show in spectacular fashion. An after-party follows into the small hours.

The identities of the 2021 award winners will, as ever, be a closely-guarded secret until the big night and the publication of a bumper Awards issue of Attitude the following morning – but host-with-the-most Tom can expect to preside over a cast as glittering as last year’s ensemble which included Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Stephen Fry, Paloma Faith and Yungblud among others.

Darren Styles OBE, Publisher and Managing Director of Attitude magazine, said: “We created the Attitude Awards to showcase the very best of the global LGBTQ community – to give a platform to those role models who demonstrate so clearly that who you are, or how you identify, is no barrier to what you might become.

“Consequently, we pride ourselves on attracting the very best talent both for the benefit of the show on the night and those with whom we share in print, digital, online or social formats.

“Our headliners and host for 2021 are no exception – everyone’s favourite pop supergroup and a man who’s on telly every time you turn it on! We are delighted to have Steps headline our show, and to have Tom Allen steer our winners into safe harbour, and can’t wait to share another incredible evening.”

Previous Attitude Awards headliners have included Boy George, Erasure and Mika while hosts have included US chat show legend Andy Cohen, RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Ross Mathews, Olympian Tom Daley, actor Alan Cumming, comedian Matt Lucas, Scissor Sister Ana Matronic and BBC journalist and presenter Evan Davis.
