Watch: Little Mix’s amazing RuPaul show at G-A-Y
By Nick Bond
Little Mix certainly knew their audience during their headlining gig at G-A-Y on Saturday night – the Brit four-piece (all devout RuPaul fans) treated the crowd to a mash-up of two of Mamma Ru’s most iconic songs.
Promoting their new single Black Magic, the Move hitmakers also threw in an uber-camp medley of Ru hits Supermodel (You Better Work) and Sissy That Walk. Check out the video below for all the fierce high ponytail action:
Of course, if you’ve read the Little Mix interview in the latest issue of Attitude, the girls’ choice of song won’t be a surprise.
“I am obsessed with RuPaul’s Drag Race and have watched in all on Netflix. I love gay culture. I’ll be at Heaven every Saturday or I’ll go and see Porn Idol at G-A-Y! I can’t get enough of it. I want to be RuPaul,” Jade enthuses in our feature-length chat.
Jesy: “Jade wants us to do a cover of Sissy That Walk.”
“We should do,” Jade insisted. “It’s a great song.”
Thank you Jade – Little Mix’s resident drag hag (we say that with love) – for making the other girls live out your RuPaul fantasies for a night. We’re all the better for it!
