Shangela lands new TV gig in ‘Riverdale’ spin-off series ‘Katy Keene’

The 'RuPaul's Drag Race' star will play 'ruthless' drag queen Devereaux

Shangela has landed a brand-new TV gig.

Earlier this week, it was reported the RuPaul’s Drag Race star would be joining Bob the Drag Queen and Eureka O’Hara in a new series, We’re Here, but now Shangela has just landed another TV gig.

Now, Shangela will take up the role of ‘ruthless’ drag queen Devereaux in The CW’s Riverdale spin-off series Katy Keene, which was first reported by The Wrap.

The character description for Devereaux reads she went “from internet personality to A-list drag queen.

“Her greatest talent is flaunting this wave of access” and “her ruthless competitiveness is what keeps her on top”.
