mxmtoon hit all the right notes as she opened up about being seen as a bisexual woman of colour.
The up-and-coming American singer performed a tender acoustic set as part of the Attitude Pride at Home Closing Party, in partnership with Klarna, on Sunday night.
“I’m a bisexual woman of colour so it’s really important for me to express my identity and hopefully have that be a part of my story as a musician as well,” she begins.
mxmtoon, aka Maia, 19 – whose album ‘the masquerade’ is out now – performed three songs, ‘prom dress,’ ‘no faker’ and ‘almost home.’
Also on the Closing Party, in partnership with Klarna, line-up were Pabllo Vittar, L Devine, Alice Chater, ‘Drag Race’ legend Jujubee and theatre star Layton Williams.
