Modern Family
actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson today revealed he’s been battling skin cancer in recent weeks.
It’s not all bad news though: the 40-year-old star, who celebrated his second anniversary with lawyer husband Justin Mikita earlier this year, is cancer-free after undoing surgery this week.

“Thank you to Dr. Bennett & his entire team for taking the cancer out of my face,” Ferguson wrote alongside a post-operation selfie on Instagram.
“Good luck hiding the stitches tomorrow @modernfamily_makeuphair!#youwannaapieceofme #phantommask#spf75”.
The five-time Emmy nominee later took to Twitter to confirm that it was indeed skin cancer he’d been treated for, and encouraged his follows to go for regular check-ups.
Thanks for all the well wishes! I'm feeling great & happy to be skin cancer free. Reminding you to get checked often by your Dermotoligist!

We’re glad to hear it Jesse – here’s to a speedy recovery.
Last year, Jesse and on-screen partner Eric Stonestreet – who play the hilariously adorable Mitch and Cam – accepted the Attitude’s International Media Recognition Award for Modern Family’s diverse portrayal of relationshops – check out their brilliant acceptance video here.
Meanwhile, fellow Modern Family star Reid Ewing recently came out publicly in a brilliantly refreshing fashion – click here to find out more.
