In June we reported that Matilda star Mara Wilson came out as bisexual in the wake of the Orlando massacre.
The former child-star took to Twitter to share a younger photo of herself at a gay bar, writing: “the LGBTQ community has always felt like home, especially a few years later when I, uh, learned something about myself.”

After fans started to ask questions to get a clearer understanding of what she meant, the 28-year-old used the Kinsey scale (the heterosexual-homosexual rating scale) to clarify, stating she was a ‘2’ meaning she mainly identifies as heterosexual ‘but more than incidentally homosexual’.
.@__SonjaLouise__ I said I *used* to identify as mostly straight. I’ve embraced the Bi/Queer label lately

But in an interview with People, Wilson revealed that coming out was “an emotional decision.”
“If I had known it was going to trend on Facebook, I don’t know that I would have done it just then. But the vast majority of the feedback has been positive.”
Wilson has recently released a memoir entitled ‘Where Am I Now? – True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame’ which tells the story of her time as a child star and her life afterwards.
