‘Friends’ auction to donate proceeds to LGBTQ youth suicide prevention charity
The auction will include more than 100 replicas of costumes and props

An auction of costumes and props from the beloved sitcom Friends will donate all proceeds to the Trevor Project.
Following recent criticism that jokes in the popular 1990s show – which ran for 10 seasons – have not aged well with many dubbing the series homophobic and transphobic, it seems they are working to prevent any more backlash.
According to Variety, more than 100 replicas of costumes worn on the show, along with a number of assorted props, will be auctioned off and all the proceeds will be donated to the Trevor Project – the leading LGBTQ youth suicide prevention organisation.
Some of the items include a replica of the iconic orange couch from Central Perk and Ross’ ‘holiday armadillo’ costume – which is currently fetching the highest bid.
Others include turkey wearing sunglasses and a fez as well as Rachel’s blue and green Hawaiian print dress.
Variety gone on to say that those who sign up for the auction is automatically entered to win a production script from the series.
