Dear Evan Hansen’s Ben Platt opens up about relationship with boyfriend Noah Galvin

Ben calls Noah "a partner that I really love" in a new interview.

Ben Platt has discussed his relationship with boyfriend Noah Galvin in his latest interview.

The star of Netflix series The Politican star has been dating Booksmart actor Noah for over 18 months, according to Out.

Speaking to the publication, the 27-year-old called Noah “a partner that I really love,” before explaining how he helped him beat the “fear and apprehension” he felt over reprising the titular role in Dear Evan Hansen in the musical’s upcoming film adaptation.

(The star originated the stage role in 2016, winning a Tony for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical.)

“Too wonderful “

Ben said of Noah, who’s also played Evan on stage: “[He] has a really unique ability to help me to be present where I am and to make the life that’s happening day to day too wonderful to not want to be on the ground for it.”

The star, who publicly addressed his sexuality for the first time in 2019, also explained: “I’ve always been out. Anyone that I’ve ever worked with or been directed by or written with or acted with who’s known me for longer than five minutes knows full well who I am.”

Elsewhere, he added: “I can be completely transparent and open and proud about my queerness and revel in it and talk about it and lean into it without sacrificing my ability to be a million other things.”
