Could Eternal be the next ’90s girl band to make a musical comeback?

Louise Redknapp has revealed she would not completely rule out the idea of reforming with her former R&B group, Eternal.

Talking to the The Daily Mirror about rejoining the original lineup of the MOBO award winning quartet, Redknapp stated, “If we could do it in a mature, cool way then yeah. But I think it would be hard. There are so many great, current artists.”

Redknapp left in 1995 to pursue a well-received solo career, whilst the remaining members, Kéllé Bryan, Vernie and Easther Bennett continued as a trio until 1998.

In 2013, Eternal appeared on ITV2’s The Big Reunion, but Redknapp was not involved. However, there is no bad blood for the ‘Stuck in the Middle With You’ singer, revealing that she would love to reunite with the previously internationally successful providing it was for the right reasons.

“It’s harder when you have had your time,” she said, “and do it for fun rather than take it too seriously.”

The return of Eternal would come as a welcome surprise for nostalgic ’90s girl band lovers, following the positive reception to All Saints’ first group effort in ten years, Red Flag. In any case, it would hold us over for a little while, at least until we finally get that MKS album we have all been waiting for.
