Ben Whishaw says it’s ‘unfair’ to accuse bisexual people of ‘being gay’
The 'Skyfall' actor also opened up about struggling with his sexuality in his twenties

Ben Whishaw says it’s unfair for bisexual people to be ‘accused of being gay’.
The openly gay actor – who has been in a civil partnership with Mark Bradshaw since 2012 – was reportedly considered to play bisexual Freddie Mercury in the award-winning Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
But while speaking to the Sunday Times Magazine, the Skyfall actor argued that it isn’t always easy to define sexuality.
He said: “If we’re honest about these things [sexuality], perhaps most people are on a spectrum.
“I think it’s very unfair when people say they’re bisexual; and they’re accused of being gay really.”
The actor also opened up about how he struggled with his sexuality when he was in his twenties and even admitted he hated himself.
He continued: “I did not feel very good about myself.
“It was to do with my sexuality and not knowing how to be myself and hating myself.”
