Adele confirms she will headline Glastonbury this year
During her six-night residency Adele announced she will be joining Muse and Coldplay by headlining Glastonbury this June.
“Who’s going to Glastonbury this year?” she asked, on stage at London’s O2. “See you there. I’ll be there. I’ll be headlining on the Saturday night this year.”
Glastonbury later confirmed this news via Twitter.
Adele told Beats 1 radio that she was originally planning to headline last year but had to push it back as her album was not ready. ‘I wasn’t anywhere near the stage and it was the biggest crowd I’d ever seen’ she told Zane Lowe.
