Adam Lambert pays tribute to George Michael’s charity work with stunning performance

Adam Lambert has paid a musical tribute to the George Michael in honour of the late singer’s decades of charity work.
Taking the stage at the 2017 Angel Awards for Project Angel Food, a non-profit organisation that provides meals for people who are too ill to cook for themselves, Adam told the audience about George’s charity work throughout the years.
“George was amazing,” Adam told the cheering crowd. “He raised half a million dollars for this organisation since 1989, and he is such an inspiration both as a philanthropist and as an artist.”
Adam, who has been performing on and off with Queen since 2011, then launched into a performance of ‘Somebody to Love’, which was famously performed by George, who passed away in December last year, at the 1991 tribute concert after Mercury’s death. Adam said that the song would ‘connect the circle’ between himself, George Michael and Queen.
Wearing a red leather jacket, Adam also performed a selection of George’s best known tracks, including a flawless rendition of the late artist’s best known song, ‘Faith’.
