A brand new Spice Girls documentary has just hit iPlayer

It’s been 20 years since Scary, Sporty, Ginger, Baby and Posh zig-a-zig-ah’d their way through London’s St Pancras hotel and changed the face of British pop music forever.

While we’re still waiting for reunited members Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel B to officially confirm their mini-reunion plans, there’s a new documentary for Spice fans to get stuck into.

Spice Girls Superfans, which is out on iPlayer today (August 1), charts the group’s rise to global superstardom, as well as the fallout out from their eventual split back in 2000.

The show also takes a look at the band’s famous fans – including Prince Charles – and features a range of famous faces from modern pop, who’ll share the impact that Girl Power had on them, including former Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt, who said:

“It was just popilicious! Every little move that they did, everything that they represented was just really bold and powerful and amazing and for girls everywhere – and I remember being that girl – it was just like yes, finally, something that really kicks butt for girls.“

The show also features Nadine Coyle, Alexandra Burke, M.O., Foxes, Scott Mills and Clara Amfo, and is hosted by Edith Bowman.
